As you reach the top, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking views, and the beauty of Mount Kilimanjaro will become even more apparent. The route then takes you through the Karanga Valley, offering a short climbing aimed at further acclimatization. You'll enjoy a picnic lunch along the way before reaching Karanga Camp at 3959 meters. On Day 5, you'll leave Karanga Camp and head toward the junction connecting with the Mweka Trail. The final water point before the summit is at the Karanga Valley, as there is no water available at Barafu Camp, which will be your next stop. Barafu Camp, meaning "ice" in Swahili, is located at 4600 meters and offers a stark and exposed camping area. After an early dinner, you'll get some rest before the final ascent to the summit, which begins during the late evening hours.

Day 6  :  (Final Summit Attempt) from Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak back to Mweka Camp

At around midnight, you'll wake up for your summit attempt, starting with a light snack and hot tea to fuel your body. The ascent takes you northwest, climbing through scree until you reach Stella Point on the Crater rim. This 6-hour climb to Stella Point can be mentally and physically demanding for many climbers. Once you reach Stella Point at 5685 meters, you'll be treated to an awe-inspiring sunrise, weather permitting. From Stella Point, you'll continue for about 2 more hours to reach the highest point of Mount Kilimanjaro, Uhuru Peak, standing tall at 5895 meters. Here, you'll have a well-deserved rest and enjoy the sense of accomplishment. After a brief stay at the summit, you'll begin your descent back to Barafu Camp, which takes about 3 hours. After a short rest and collecting the rest of your gear, you'll continue your descent through the rock and scree path, returning to the moorland and eventually entering the forest. The day ends at Mweka Camp.

Celebrations and congratulations await you! From the gate, it's another hour's muddy climb to Mweka village, where a delicious hot lunch will be waiting for you. Afterward, a vehicle will take you back to Moshi, where you can enjoy a well-deserved overnight rest at a hotel or be transferred to the airport. This Kilimanjaro expedition offers an unforgettable experience of challenges, breathtaking landscapes, and a tremendous sense of achievement, making it a journey you'll cherish for a lifetime.
